Established in 1902, the Kempton Hotel, built by homesteaders in the area, is the oldest continuously operated hotel in Montana. Famous guests, including Teddy Roosevelt and Calamity Jane, have stayed in the hotel. The current owners have homesteaded in the area. They have kept the hotel in its original decor and are looking to restore it back to its original grand condition. Stop in for a visit, and take a look around the attached Antique Store while you’re there! Located off I-94 at Exit 176.
